Rakesh

A natural orator and awarded Acharya of yoga, Rakesh’s  journey has been of self discovery, learning through contemplation and life experiences. He is a teacher who presents the intricate yoga philosophy and its practice in a simple, down to earth and humorous manner. In his classes, Rakesh gives his original analysis and views on the writings of various spiritual traditions, mystics and philosophers from around the world.

For Rakesh, the greatest human gifts are love and freedom. Based on this, he teaches yoga where love and freedom are of the highest values and individual spiritual growth being the number one priority. His Asana classes are designed to use our physical body as a vehicle to eventually control and conquer our mind.

Kathryn Mclean

A unique yoga practitioner, began her journey exploring different ashrams, retreats and spiritual practices; Kathryn demonstrates the potential of yoga as a medium for profound healing and emotional and spiritual growth. Teaching annually at Himalayan Yoga Bliss, her formal training includes Ashtanga, Sivananda Hatha, Yin, Yoga for Children and Vipassana meditation.

Embodying the notion that a good teacher is always a dedicated student, Kathryn is propelled to learn from every experience that life presents her. Believing firmly that life is about the journey, not the destination. By sharing her story and learning from others, she endeavors to demonstrate the profound effects that a yogic lifestyle can offer. Tenzing

A beautiful Yogi born in the heart of the Himalayas, Tenzing’s journey has been shaped by incredible nature and practices. Having learned the ancient traditions of Bhakti and Sanskrit chants at a young age, Tenzing loves leading the chanting sessions to awaken the spirits of his students and believes that living in the present, should be the goal of every Yogi questioning the be wilderness within.

A fierce nature lover at heart, his fascination towards adventurous outdoor activities, mountain hiking and morning Meditative walks make the course dynamic and engaging for his students. A Teacher of the traditional Sivananda Hatha Yoga and a devotee of Shiva, Tenzing is a pure Bhakti Yogi at heart.

VANESSA HARPER

An intriguing and mindful teacher dedicated to helping others along the life-long path of self-inquiry and personal discovery creating the framework for health, happiness and healing. Vanessa has studied, trained and taught in 9 countries. She is a Graduate of Himalayan Yoga Bliss with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and is a devout wellness and holistic education student and teacher.

Vanessa’s passion to strengthen the body-mind connection shines in her Anatomy teaching. Vanessa has studied extensively in the areas of nutrition, mindset, and emotional intelligence. Some of her certifications include Holistic Lifestyle Coach (L1) from the C.H.E.K Institute, Neuro-linguistic Programming Practitioner from The Tolson Institute and Comprehensive Yoga Anatomy for teachers from yoga anatomy.

Saravanan

Saravanan is a dedicated yoga practitioner trained in various world renowned institutes from the Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy to International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre. He acquired the prestigious title of Yoga Acharya (Master of Yoga) and currently travels the world teaching and assisting his Swamis for the international Sivananda Vedanta global yoga projects.

Saravanan’s teaching is very dynamic as he guides and encourages his students to appreciate their body, its powers, and limitations. His warm and helpful nature helps his students to achieve proper alignment, health, mental and spiritual benefits. His teaching style is based on the teachings of various Indian masters along with his own practice as he travels, teaches and explores different disciplines around the world.

Alisha

An artist by birth with a background in fashion design, Alisha found the yogic path and never looked back. As the manager of all the behind the curtain needs of Himalayan Yoga, Alisha coordinates the Yoga teacher training programs in all the Himalayan Yoga Bliss centers around India and is also an assistant Teacher for various styles of Asana classes and workshops.

As a devoted practitioner of various styles of Yoga such as Sivananda, Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow, her journey has helped her deepen the connection to herself, making compassion and empathy the core foundation of her practice. Kind and humble in nature, Alisha is the heart of our YTTC and goes out of her way to fulfill the various needs of our students throughout the program.

Vishnuji

Born in a traditional Brahmin family, Vishnuji’s journey was full of ashrams, temples, and monastery visits from an early age. Vishnuji explores the fascinating teachings of Indian philosophy, the Vedas and the origins of the traditional Hatha yoga along with its contemporary techniques.

As a charming and dedicated Yogi, Vishnuji  brings humor to his classes and makes each class an engaging and memorable experience. His deep array of philosophy comes from his love and appreciation for yoga, the universe and its divine existence. Vishnuji also travels around India teaching international students and further investigates the yoga philosophies and their applications to our culture.

Sabrina Acharya

After having worked for three major corporations for over eight years in Mumbai and Pune, Sabrina decided to quit her nine to five job and find her solace in Yoga. Her calling towards the practice was so strong that she attended classes whenever possible and finally enrolled for a Teacher’s Training Course at Himalayan Yoga Bliss and got certified as a Teacher.

Currently, Sabrina is a teacher for project THIRD EYE, a charity program for Blind children run by Himalayan Yoga Bliss, and an assistant teacher in the yoga Teacher training. Sabrina is also an avid traveler and expresses her passion through her incredible eye for photography. A dedicated teacher and practitioner, Sabrina teaches with utmost love and compassion.

EMILY RUTH WILLIAMS

Emily ia a graduate of Himalayan Yoga Bliss and has taught all over the world from the French Alps to the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Emily is an experienced Vinyasa Yoga teacher and continues to be an inquisitive student in many other areas including meditation, breath work and holistic practices. Drawing inspiration from the changing of the seasons and the nuances of the natural world, Emily creates a flow that combines the body, mind and breath.

Emily has also co-founded The Mountain Soul Series (yoga & hiking events and retreats), as well as running her own successful yoga retreats. The practice of yoga drew her in and has become a huge part of her life. Since then, she has delved deeper into this ancient practice, looking to learn and understand more for herself, and others.
